Summary of Shifts We Target

Kickoff: Conscious Leadership

Key Question: We probe deeply, asking, “What’s driving you?” and help you identify the reactive triggers that can take you out of the driver’s seat and put your fears in it.

Summary: Conscious Leadership introduces the foundational framework for the rest of the series: Are you leading—and living—as a re-actor or a creator, acting out a role someone else gave you or authoring what makes most sense for the changing context you’re in?

Managing Yourself (strategic time management)

Key Question: As your team grows, it seems that everyone and everything is calling for your attention. How do you keep your focus on what matters most?

Summary: Managing Yourself introduces the individual Operating System of key habits, tools, and mindsets to maintain and adjust your focus as a leader in a complex environment, one who wants to move beyond fixing problems (re-Actor) to creating outcomes (Creator/Author). We add nuance to the Actor/Author binary through the Drama Triangle. As James Clear writes, “We do not rise to the level of our goals; we fall to the level of our systems.”

Leverage with AI (delegating to teams and AI)

Key Question: How can you leverage your team so that the team is greater than the sum of its parts? How can you ask for what you want in a way that sets up the other party for both success and growth? How do you leverage AI?

Summary: Delegating effectively to people and prompting AI effectively share many parallels. The clearer your requests are, the better the responses will be. This workshop explores the details of how to make these asks, what to delegate, and the inner obstacles that deter us from even trying in the first place.

Catching: Listening with Depth and Empathy

Key Question: How can you create clarity and connection in each conversation (especially when there’s confusion or conflict)? How can you feel totally cool and calm with whatever defensiveness comes your way?

Summary: We view conversations that flow well like a game of catch. This workshop on “Catching” shows you how to practice recognizing the choice points within each conversation where you can discover what each party cares about most, build connection around it so everybody feels understood, and drive towards those common interests.

Actionable Feedback

Key Question: When you see what is working or could work better, how do you share that in a way that is both actionable and motivating?

Summary: Actionable Feedback introduces the GAIN framework alongside key skills and mindsets for—you guessed it—actionable feedback conversations. This workshop integrates learnings from all the previous ones.

Coaching for Growth

Key Question: How do you help people close the gap between where they are and where they want to be?

Summary: While feedback is sparked by something you see, coaching conversations take growth to the next level, uncovering others’ goals and helping them step into the driver’s seat to move towards them. This workshop also builds on all the previous ones to set up powerful growth conversations.
